ALWAGHT- Israeli forces killed a Palestinian teenager during a raid in the southern West Bank following a car-ramming operation on Israeli troops.
The Israeli military said its forces killed a Palestinian in al-Khalil after a vehicle-ramming operation at the Yehuda Junction that lightly injured an Israeli soldier. According to the army, troops opened fire as the vehicle fled after striking personnel stationed at the site.
Palestinian authorities identified the victim as 17-year-old Muhannad Tariq Muhammad al-Zughair, who was reportedly shot while inside a car in a field in the southern part of the city. Local and media reports said Israeli forces sealed entrances to al-Khalil, raided homes of the teen’s family, and removed his body after the killing.
The incident comes amid intensifying Israeli military operations and settler violence in the West Bank during the war in Gaza, which Palestinian sources say has killed over 70,000 people. Rights groups have warned of growing risks of ethnic cleansing, while the International Court of Justice recently declared Israel’s long-standing occupation unlawful and called for the removal of settlements, underscoring rising international concern.
