ALWAGHT- Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi and Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji have called on the international community to stop Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji, leading a senior delegation to Tehran, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments. The two officials explored ways to strengthen cooperation, especially in security and border management, while reviewing the situations in Gaza and Lebanon.
Both sides expressed deep concern over Israel’s continued violations of the Gaza ceasefire and condemned the regime’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians. They called on the international community to intervene, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and hold Israel accountable for its crimes.
Al-Araji reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to fully implementing the Iran-Iraq security agreement and pledged that Iraqi territory would not be used against Iran. The two officials emphasized unity among Muslim nations in confronting Israel’s aggression and expansionist policies, as Gaza endures devastating losses, with over 68,000 killed and 170,000 injured since October 2023 despite a fragile ceasefire repeatedly violated by Israel.
