ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Qatar to participate in an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial meeting addressing Israel’s recent military strike on the Persian Gulf nation.
Araghchi arrived in Doha on Sunday morning to attend the emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), convened at Qatar’s request to discuss Israel’s recent military aggression against the country.
The ministerial meeting serves as a prelude to the Islamic-Arab summit scheduled for Monday, where Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will represent Tehran.
On September 9, Israel carried out a strike in Doha targeting Hamas leaders, an operation that has drawn widespread international condemnation. Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior figure Khalil al-Hayya, were killed in the attack. A member of Qatar’s security forces also lost his life.
