Leader: The 12-Day War Highlighted the Islamic Republic’s Unmatched Resilience

ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the recent 12-day war showcased the Iranian nation’s strength and resolve, demonstrating to the world the unparalleled firmness of the Islamic Republic’s foundation.

Ayatollah Khamenei spoke at a ceremony in Tehran marking 40 days since the martyrdom of those killed in the recent war, attended by families of the fallen and officials. He emphasized that the conflict revealed the Islamic Republic’s determination and strength, attributing hostility toward Iran to its faith, knowledge, and unity.

He criticized global powers, led by the US, for opposing Iran’s religion, unity under Islam, and scientific progress. The remarks followed Israel’s June 13 attack on Iranian officials and nuclear sites, which escalated with US bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities, prompting Iran to launch retaliatory strikes on Israeli and American targets, forcing a ceasefire by June 24.

Rejecting Western criticisms of Iran’s nuclear program and human rights record as excuses, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed Iran’s commitment to its faith and scientific growth. He vowed that Iran would continue advancing and rising to a position of pride and strength despite opposition.
