ALWAGHT- The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned Germany’s position on the Zionist regime’s recent aggression against Iran, stating that Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s remarks echo justifications similar to those made for Hitler’s crimes.
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, condemned Germany and France for their unacceptable stances supporting Israel’s recent aggression against Iran. He criticized German officials, particularly Chancellor Friedrich Merz, for describing Israel’s attacks as “dirty work,” likening this language to justifications used for Hitler’s crimes and accusing Germany of becoming a “historic accomplice” in Israeli atrocities.
Baghaei emphasized that such comments damage the credibility of the European Union and reflect a troubling alignment with Israeli aggression. He highlighted the ongoing conflict, noting Israel’s 12-day military campaign against Iranian military, nuclear, and residential sites, followed by US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
In response, Iran launched powerful retaliatory missile strikes against Israeli targets and the US al-Udeid air base in Qatar. The hostilities ceased with a ceasefire on June 24, bringing a temporary halt to the fighting between the involved parties.
