ALWAGHT- Iran states it is closely watching any Israeli attempts to use neighboring countries' territory for renewed aggression against the Islamic Republic.
At a recent press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that Iran has informed neighboring countries about reports and intelligence concerning potential misuse of their territories by Israel for aggression against Iran. All neighboring countries have assured Iran they will not permit such actions, emphasizing their commitment to international law and good neighborly relations. Iran continues to investigate the situation closely with its armed forces and security agencies.
Baghaei also condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iranian military and nuclear sites, describing them as unprovoked acts of aggression that led to Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes under Operation True Promise III. He highlighted the involvement of the United States in bombing Iranian nuclear sites on June 22, calling it a serious violation of international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Regarding the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Baghaei criticized its recent report as “inappropriate” and politically motivated, which he said provided a pretext for the US and Israel’s military actions against Iran. He accused the IAEA and some Western countries of pursuing a politicized agenda against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, undermining trust and making normal cooperation with the agency difficult.
