ALWAGHT- A Health Ministry official stated on Wednesday that Israeli airstrikes across Iran have killed at least 627 people and injured 4,870 others.
Hossein Kermanpour, head of public relations at Iran’s Health Ministry, shared on social media that the highest casualties from Israeli airstrikes occurred in Tehran and Kermanshah, with several other provinces also heavily affected. The strikes resulted in significant fatalities and injuries across multiple regions.
He noted that 86.1% of those killed died instantly at the strike sites, while 13.9% passed away en route to or upon arrival at hospitals, highlighting the extreme devastation caused by the attacks, including blasts, debris, and fires.
The conflict began on June 13 when Israel launched unprovoked strikes targeting Iranian military leaders, nuclear scientists, and infrastructure. Iran retaliated with missile attacks deep into occupied territories, leading to a ceasefire after 12 days of intense hostilities.
