Top Iranian Military Leaders and Two Civilian Officials Martyred in Israeli Attacks

ALWAGHT- Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Hossein Salami, Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), along with additional military and civilian officials, have been martyred in Israeli strikes in Tehran.

Major General Bagheri and Major General Salami were martyred in separate Israeli airstrikes overnight on Friday. Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, and Major General Gholamali Rashid, Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters, were also among those killed. In addition, Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, a nuclear scientist and president of Islamic Azad University, along with Fereydoun Abbasi, another nuclear scientist and former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, lost their lives in separate attacks.

The Israeli military launched strikes in and around Tehran and other Iranian cities overnight on Friday. Residential buildings in the capital were among the targets, and eyewitnesses, as well as state TV reporters, reported seeing the bodies of women and children among the casualties.
