ALWAGHT- The United States has reportedly authorized a new delivery of thousands of heavy munitions to Israel, bolstering its military capabilities as Tel Aviv prepares for a "vigorous expansion" of its ongoing war on Gaza, widely condemned as genocidal.
The United States is reportedly preparing to deliver over 3,000 bombs to Israel in the coming weeks, with an additional 10,000 expected later. The shipment, which includes powerful MK-84 bombs linked to high civilian casualties in Gaza, is intended to strengthen Israel’s military readiness for a major offensive planned by its Southern Command. This transfer was previously frozen but resumed under Donald Trump’s current administration.
On the ground, Israel has expanded its assault on Gaza, with its military now surrounding Rafah — a city sheltering over a million displaced Palestinians. Key routes like the “Morag Corridor” have been seized, and the army is also operating near the Gaza-Egypt border, claiming arms are being smuggled into Gaza. Units such as the 36th Division and Gaza Division are leading the push.
The escalation has resulted in heavy Palestinian casualties. Since March 18, at least 1,630 people have been killed and over 4,300 injured amid intensified Israeli bombardments. Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed, essential infrastructure decimated, and many displaced civilians are once again forced to flee, with no safe haven remaining in the besieged territory.
