Ukrainian Troops Surrender in the Velikaya Novosyolka Area

ALWAGHT- A group of soldiers from Ukraine's 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade has surrendered in Velikaya Novosyolka, located in the southern Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

The prisoners of war are safe and are being provided with the necessary assistance, according to a TASS correspondent.

On January 26, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of Velikaya Novosyolka following an active offensive by units from the 5th Guards Tank Brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army and the 40th Naval Infantry Brigade of Battlegroup East. These forces executed a coordinated attack, resulting in the encirclement and subsequent surrender of Ukrainian soldiers stationed in Velikaya Novoselka.

This settlement served as a significant logistics hub and a key element of Ukraine's defensive line in the area.

The fall of Velikaya Novoselka marks a significant shift in the conflict dynamics, potentially altering the strategic landscape in the Donbass region. The town's capture is expected to impact the logistics and defensive capabilities of Ukrainian forces in the area.
