ALWAGHT- At least 73 more people have been martyred in the latest crimes by the Zionist regime, as Israeli warplanes and artillery continue to bombard northern areas of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Citing media sources, the Zionist military bombarded the remaining residential buildings in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, late Saturday night. Many of the wounded are reportedly in critical condition, and local officials warn the death toll may rise.
Hossam Abusafia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, stated that they have reached a point where they must prioritize some patients over others, with many succumbing due to the inability to provide adequate care. He urged for the opening of a safe, permanent crossing to deliver medical aid, noting severe shortages in medicine and equipment needed to treat those injured by Israeli strikes.
The Palestinian health ministry reports that since the beginning of Israel’s offensive on Gaza in October last year, over 42,500 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have been killed, with around 99,600 others injured. On Saturday, the director-general of Gaza's information office also announced that more than 17,000 women and 11,000 children had been martyred in the past year alone.
The report emphasized that 15 critical areas of Gaza have been destroyed, and over 950 medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, have been killed in the bombardment. A Palestinian Authority official, who remained unnamed, warned that Zionist forces are intentionally targeting civilians, including rescue teams, with the aim of displacing northern Gaza's population. He further accused the Zionist regime of using explosive devices to destroy homes and infrastructure to force Palestinians to flee.
Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya condemned the Zionist regime's actions in Beit Lahia, describing them as evidence of “modern Nazism” and a deliberate attempt to displace Palestinians. He insisted that Gaza’s people would not bow to the demands of the Zionist military for forced migration and stressed the historical responsibility for the mass killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
