ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated Tehran’s commitment to supporting resistance forces, including Lebanon's Hezbollah, in their fight against the Israeli regime.
During a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, Abdullah Safiuddin, Hezbollah’s representative in Iran, extended congratulations from Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and other Lebanese leaders to Abbas Araghchi on his appointment as Iran’s Foreign Minister.
In response, Araghchi expressed his gratitude for Nasrallah’s congratulatory message and conveyed his regards to Hezbollah officials and resistance fighters.
Araghchi also reaffirmed Iran’s steadfast policy of supporting resistance movements and the legitimate struggles of regional nations against the Zionist regime’s occupation.
The discussion between Araghchi and Safiuddin covered recent regional developments, the status of the anti-Israeli resistance front in Lebanon, and the situations in Palestine, Gaza, and the West Bank.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who took office in late July, has pledged that his administration will fully support the resistance front and promote Muslim unity in the fight against the Zionist regime.
In a meeting with Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem on July 30, Pezeshkian commended the bravery of Hezbollah fighters for their resilience and resistance against the Zionist regime’s crimes and aggression.
