Death Toll From Moscow Terrorist Attack Rises to 115

Alwaght- Russian media outlets reported that the emergency and police forces are now putting the number of victims of deadly terrorist attack in Moscow at 115.

While the crisis was still active in Circus City Hall near Moscow, the authorities said gunmen killed 40 people.

Over 100 people were also injured by terrorists.

Last night, Russian media reported that unidentified gunmen entered the entertainment site and opened fire at public.

After the attacks, an explosion occurred inside the hall, causing a huge fire.

About two weeks ago, the US had warned its citizens in Russia to avoid public gatherings and malls for risks of terrorist attacks.

Western media claimed that ISIS terrorist organization claimed responsibility.

Security has been tightened in Moscow and regions, with mass evens being cancelled.

Condolences have been pouring to Moscow for the attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about the incident a few minutes after it started, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. The president is constantly supplied by all relevant services with information and he has given "all the necessary instructions," Peskov stressed.

Heads of the Federal Security Service, Interior Ministry, Investigative Committee and National Guard have reported to Putin on the terrorist attack investigation, the Kremlin said later. Moreover, Russian Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov told the president about measures that have been assumed for saving people and provision of all necessary help.

Putin also talked to Deputy Prime Minister Golikova, Health Minister Murashko and Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, the press service of the president reported.

The Federal Security Service said that special services were conducting a search operation. The Investigative Committee has initiated a case on a terrorist attack.

The Investigative Committee said later that arms and armaments were collected from the spot.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that calls by the US and British embassies to their nationals not to visit shopping malls in Moscow show that their intelligence services had certain information about possible terrorist attacks.

"On March 7, the US Embassy cautioned its citizens against visiting shopping centers. Then the British and some others did the same. This means that their intelligence services wiretapped certain conversations, got information and knew that something would happen," Vucic told the Prva TV channel.

Advisor to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak said that Kiev was not linked to the incident. The US authorities believe that there are no signs of Ukraine or the Ukrainians being involved in the terrorist attack.

Russian authorities have not yet pointed their finger of blame to Ukraine, but unofficial sources said Moscow asked Washington to explain about the warning it issued about possible attacks.
