Alwaght- The parliament of Jordan voted to expel the Israeli ambassador to Amman from the country in protest against the behavior Tel Aviv regime’s radical finance minister, who stirred controversy earlier this week after he denied the existence of the Palestinian people.

During the legislative session on Wednesday, House Speaker Ahmed Safadi called on the government to take effective measures against the minister's behavior, Ammon News reported.

Smotrich on Sunday said: “There are no Palestinians, because there isn’t a Palestinian people,” while standing at a podium adorned with a map that showed a fictional expanded Israel including all of the occupied Palestinian territory and Jordan.

According to the MPs, the minister's actions reflect "an Israeli arrogance and disrespect of international treaties and conventions."

In a statement read by Faez Basboosa, the committee condemned the remarks and stressed the importance of punishing Israeli regime for violating their agreement with Jordan.

The statement called for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador from Jordan and the rejection of any cooperation with the Tel Aviv regime.
