Alwaght- Reports indicate that the Israeli regime and its supporters in the US are committing at least $100 million to scuttle the Iran nuclear conclusion in the US Congress.
The Republican-dominated Congress is reviewing the Iran nuclear conclusion and is likely to vote on it in September.
Most Republicans oppose the agreement with Iran, but they need a two-thirds vote in both chambers of Congress to override a possible presidential veto, and to reach that threshold, Republicans need Democratic support.
Israeli aware of Iran's non-aggressive defense doctrine
A quick glance at the text of the agreement shows that, if ratified by the US congress, the deal substantially downsizes Iran’s peaceful nuclear program to low level of value—at only 3.67% uranium enrichment. While some restrictions on research and development are promised to be relaxed after 10 years, others will remain for up to 25 years. In addition, Iran would be subjected to a tough monitoring and inspection regime. Meanwhile the Israeli regime claims Iran would use sanctions relief to sponsor 'terrorism' implying support for Hamas and Hezbollah resistance movement. It’s ironic though that Iran is being accused of supporting terrorism while it is at the same time at the forefront in fighting against the people that the US says are the world’s biggest terrorist threat, ISIS and other Takfiri terrorists.
Why oppose the Iran nuclear deal
Considering the foregoing, the question emerges as to what really is the reason for the vehement opposition of the Iran nuclear deal by the Israeli regime and its pro-Zionist lobby in Washington.
Although the nuclear talks conducted between the P5+1 and Iran were endorsed by the Obama administration from the very beginning, the Republican dominated U.S. Congress under the negative influence of the Israeli regime has openly raised objections against the conclusion. Opposition to the deal at this time is certainly meant to impact on the 2016 US presidential elections. Already Republican White House hopefuls moved have criticized the nuclear conclusion the United States and other world powers reached with Iran. The contrast was clear with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has embraced the deal. Meanwhile the decision by Jewish Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer of New York to oppose the Iran nuclear deal has emboldened the deal’s opponents in both parties. However supporters of the conclusion say that Democratic defections would not be enough to bring it down.
No doubt the Israeli regime and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have turned Iran’s civilian nuclear energy program into a “manufactured crisis," which has no military solution.
Israeli regime playing victim
By playing victim, the Israeli regime is pushing the world to go to war with Iran, which has no nuclear weapons, on behalf of Israel, a regime with approximately 200 nuclear weapons that has not signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
This is while some intransigent Arab states have decided to join the Israeli regime in opposing the Iran nuclear deal.
Regional countries must pressurize to the international community to stop its policy of double standards and to undertake its responsibilities by pressuring Israel to join the non-proliferation agreement (NPT).
In Israel's vehement opposition to the Iran nuclear deal, history is repeating its self. Just as Zionists used the killing of some Jews by Hitler, the so called holocaust, as a pretext to usurp Palestinian land and continue with the genocide against Palestinians up to the present time, they are now using Iran's peaceful nuclear program to justify maintaining their deadly arsenal of nuclear weapons, the only one in West Asia. The world is witnessing unprecedented incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Israeli settlers coupled with an upsurge of construction of illegal settlements in occupied territories. This is while the regime diverts world attention to the alleged threat of Iran.
Saudi Arabia falls into Israeli trap of dividing Muslims
The Israeli regime has also used the Iran nuclear issue to divide Muslim countries on sectarian lines by pretending to be allied to Sunni countries especially Saudi Arabia which has openly fallen in to the trap set by the Tel Aviv regime.
The emergence of the Takfiri terrorist groups such as ISIS can also be viewed within this framework as these groups are primarily fighting the axis of resistance opposed to the Israeli regime. Netanyahu seems confident to obtain support for his anti-Iran ranting by reactionary regimes in the region led by Saudi Arabia. Such an unholy alliance will certainly divert the attention of the core strategic issue among Arab and Muslim states namely, the liberation of Palestine and especially the Holy Quds.
Such a scenario will relieve pressure from the Israeli regime as Arab states remain focused on a non-existent threat from Iran while the Palestinian issue is confined to the oblivion.
