Hezbollah, Syrian Army Liberate More Areas in Zabadani, Capture 3 Terrorist
Alwaght-Hezbollah resistance forces and the Syrian army have jointly advanced further into al-Zabadani city, tightening the noose around terrorist groups while capturing 3 terrorists.
The military source explained to SANA that the army units and the resistance forces have stepped up operations on various areas of the city, located to the north-west of Damascus, making advances from several directions.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that the army units and the Resistance forces are combing several areas they had earlier taken control of in central al-Zabadani city.
Reports say that the terrorist Ziad Nassif, a group’s leader within the so-called “Hamza Bin Abdul-Muttalib Battalions” was killed during operations on Friday.
The Syrian army also continued its operations against the terrorist groups in the various provinces, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
Zabadani, a strategic border town located 50 kilometers northwest of the Syrian capital Damascus and near the Lebanese border, has in the last five weeks been a scene of fierce clashes between the warring sides trying to bring it under their control.
