Alwaght- ISIS Takfiri terrorist group has claimed responsibility for a Thursday attack that killed and wounded around 19 pro-Haftar troops in Libyan town of Ajdabiya.
A terrorist exploded his vehicle at a barricade manned by forces loyal to Libyan strongman Khalifa Haftar near the city of Ajdabiya some 840km from Tripoli, general Fawzi al-Mansouri, a top officer in the local security forces, told reporters. Eight other people were injured.
Another terrorist attack which injured three people on March 9 south of Ajdabiya was also claimed by ISIS group.
Despite the loss of its Sirte bastion in northern Libya in December 2016, ISIS remains active in the centre and south of the country.
The oil-rich North African state descended into a deadly civil war after US-led NATO military intervention followed the 2011 uprising that led to the toppling and killing of longtime dictator, Muammar Gaddafi.
