Panic Hits London after Terror Attack on Underground Train

Panic Hits London after Terror Attack on Underground Train

Alwaght- Another terror attack hit British capital on Friday morning, injuring several passengers on a crowded London Underground train.

The explosion occurred at 7:20 GMT on Parsons Green station in Southwest London and sowing panic, disrupting.

Pictures show a white bucket on fire inside a supermarket bag, but do not appear to show extensive damage to the inside of the carriage.

The Metropolitan Police said "a number of people" had been injured and advised people to avoid the area.

Scotland Yard has said the explosion is treated as a terror attack.

A police cordon has been put up around Parsons Green station, with every side street blocked off by blue and white tape.

Britain has been hit by several deadly terror attacks this year: a vehicular and knife attack near Parliament in March, a suicide bombing at a rock concert in Manchester in May, and a van and knife attack around London Bridge and a van attack outside a London mosque, both in June.

Taken together, the terrorist violence has been the deadliest on British soil since July 7, 2005, when suicide bombers set off explosions on three subway cars and a double-decker bus in London, killing 52 people and injuring scores of others.

The new attack immediately revived concerns that militants might again be targeting the Underground, commonly known as the Tube — the world’s oldest subway system, and one of its busiest.
