IRGC Commander Highlights Extensive Engagement Capabilities Against Adversaries

ALWAGHT- Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, highlighted the significance of engaging enemies from "zero distance to great depths" during a ceremony for the IRGC's naval force, emphasizing Iran's maritime defense strategy.

At a recent ceremony marking the addition of 2,654 missile, electronic warfare, and drone systems to the IRGC's naval force, General Salami emphasized the importance of being able to engage enemies across a range of distances, especially at sea.

"We have defined engagement from zero distance to great depths, meaning we must be capable of engaging the enemy at various points of contact. The sea does not have a fixed battle line," Salami explained.

He noted that enhancing Iran's defensive capabilities is guided by a strategic vision influenced by divine revelation and the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. This approach, Salami said, is crucial for ensuring Iran's strength and survival in a world dominated by imperial powers.

Salami also underscored the need for nations to choose between strength and submission. "Nations must decide whether to become strong and live freely and independently, freeing themselves from global hegemonic powers, or to choose compromise, submission, and subservience."

Describing the sea as a vital area for defending national interests, Salami stressed that Iran must prevent its enemies from dominating and, if necessary, impose its will on them.
