CENTCOM has stated that, “we conducted airstrikes in Yemen in collaboration with British forces and with the backing of Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bahrain.”
Al Jazeera has reported, the Central Command of the United States in the Middle East, known as CENTCOM, released a statement following the bombardment of Yemeni targets.
According to CENTCOM's, they stated: "In conjunction with British forces and with the backing of Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bahrain, we conducted airstrikes on eight targets in Yemen."
CENTCOM further noted that the targeted locations were utilized by Yemeni forces to launch attacks on commercial and U.S. Navy vessels in the Red Sea.
A senior U.S. military official also remarked that fighter jets from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower participated in the airstrikes in the Red Sea.
Additionally, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported the involvement of strategic B-52 bombers in breaching Yemen's airspace.
Conversely, "Mohammed Ali al-Houthi," a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, declared following the recent bombardment of Yemen that the American-British attacks represent a fresh effort to dissuade Yemen from supporting Gaza.
al-Houthi underscored the need for Americans and the British to comprehend that Yemen is in a responsive mode, and its people are not inclined to surrender.
According to al-Houthi, the objective of the American-British coalition's aggression is to disrupt maritime operations in Yemen, a goal he believes will not be accomplished.
Concurrently, "Mohammed al-Bukhaiti," a member of the political office of the Yemeni forces, conveyed his response to the bombing of Yemen on his official social media account, stating: "Irrespective of the extent of the bombing in Yemen, our military operations against Israel will persist."
al-Bukhaiti added that Yemen's military operations against Israel will continue until the end of the atrocities in Gaza.
American and British fighter jets targeted several areas in Sanaa and its surroundings.
News sources reported hearing intense explosions in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, and Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the terrifying sounds of explosions in Sanaa coincided with the flight of fighter jets.
A U.S. official also told Al Jazeera that, "U.S., British, and other allied forces carried out attacks on Yemen."
This U.S. official also added that the attacks in Yemen targeted positions of Yemeni forces, missile platforms, drones, and weapon depots. According to Al Mayadeen's report, the American-British aggressors also targeted the al-Jund region in the Taiz province in southwestern Yemen. Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, and targets in the provinces of Taiz, Al Bayda, and Hajjah are among the other areas bombed in Yemen by American and British fighter jets.
A U.S. military official told Al Jazeera, "The attacks conducted by the U.S. and the UK against Yemen are a combination of aerial and missile strikes."
The U.S. official added, "The attacks against the Yemenis were executed by U.S. and British forces, with the non-operational backing of other nations."
Following the assault on Yemen, a collective statement has been released by the United States, England, Bahrain, and various other nations in the Red Sea coalition.
Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, declared that the American military cargo vessel named "Ocean Gas" in the Gulf of Aden was targeted by precise missiles from the Yemeni navy. The spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces emphasized that there will be a definite response to the attacks from the United States and England, and any new act of aggression will not go without a response and consequences.
Earlier, "Mohammad Abdul Salam," the spokesperson for the Yemeni forces and the leader of the negotiating team in Sanaa, stressed that Yemen will not permit the violation of its sovereignty. According to Abdul Salam, Yemen will not passively endure any aggression it faces and will take decisive action.
This high-ranking Yemeni force official further stated that, in solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestine, Yemen will aim at Israeli vessels heading towards occupied ports to put a stop to the attacks on Gaza.
The Yemeni spokesperson also called on all nations to avoid being deceived by America's tactics and stressed that Washington must not evade its responsibility to cease the assault on Gaza.
