Alwaght- The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is providing funding and training to create an armed rebellion under the cover of civil organizations but its plans are going nowhere, said a report published on Friday by the Iranian Intelligence Ministry and IRGC’s Intelligence Organization.
The report, declassifying some important intelligence documents, said that Washington, assisted by Britain and the Israeli regime, has been pressing ahead with its grave plans to fuel an armed rebellion for regime change in Iran. Saudi Arabia and some other countries funded the plots.
Working for years to destabilize Iran and change the current polical system, the report said, the Americans have failed. They turned to civil organizations for making networks and communications inside Iran to pursue their subversive conspiracies.
They started with a “universal soft war” and sought to mobilize dissenters against the government and coordinate their efforts for the final goal, the report further suggested.
The CIA held training courses to the recruited elements in Turkey, the UAE, the Netherlands, Armenia, Georgia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Czech Republic, South Africa, Italy, and Seychelles Islands, the report added.
These elements had a task to promote violence, street clashes, and recruit members to the so-called NGOs.
The CIA-recruited organizations included Unity for Iran, Justice for Iran, Irex, House of Freedom, Small Media, Siamak Burumand Foundation, Center for Human Rights Defender Association, and a set of others.
The US paid for all of their expenses including their flights and hotels.
The Intelligence Ministry said it obtained documents that the recent riots were planned since months ago.
“From the point of view of the American-Zionist designers of this project, firstly, the movements will not succeed unless they are accompanied by violence. Secondly, they need infantry who know no red lines and are ready to do anything. Among the measures that they have notified to the relevant agents are insulting the Sacred Imams (peace be upon them) and burning the mosque and the Quran, killing security and law enforcement officers, attacking military and law enforcement posts and headquarters, attacking the clergy.”
All these measures are aimed at destabilizing the country for more intense clashes with government forces.
They paid their elements using a variety of ways. “For example, recently a network was identified and dismantled that was abusing the barter method with Iranian people reluctant to go abroad, such as students and activists in the field of housing construction. In this way, the main agent or their agent in one of the neighboring countries identified the people in need of foreign currency in the destination country, provided the amount they needed along with the cooperation commission and asked them to deposit the money into their account after returning to the country.”
The American and Israeli intelligence agencies since past years worked to identify and recruit “thugs and villains” traveling abroad. They made massive efforts to fund them, arm them, and train them for clashes with the government forces, for sabotage operations against vital sites, and spread violence across the country against the police and Bassij forces.
Along with these efforts, the US backed the terrorist groups like PAK, Pejak, and MKO for operations insider Iran, the report went on.
The cyber space was another area where the CIA and Mossad worked hard to mobilize the minds against Iran and promote a hate campaign inside the Iranian society. Twitter was the platform of choice for a “cognitive warfare” against the Iranians. Its algorithms and AI were manipulated to produce content inviting for armed struggle against the government and its supporters.
The Intelligence report maintained that satellite television channels also assisted this conspiracy. The British government-funded BBC Persian and the Saudi-funded Iran International news network totally changed their airing timetables after protests started in Iran, publishing fake news perhaps unprecedented in the history of journalism.
The report concluded that all these efforts have met their failures, but warned that the “enemy plans to continue its schemes next year.”
