Basij Chief: Iranian Resistance Has Brought US, Israel ‘to Their Knees’

ALWAGHT- The commander of Iran’s Basij Organization claimed that the conflict had undermined the United States’ military image, arguing that Washington could no longer credibly portray its forces as those of a global superpower. He accused the US military of targeting schools and wedding ceremonies, describing it instead as a “criminal and child-killing army” and saying the alleged conduct had exposed this reality to the international community.

Hojjatoleslam val-Moslemin Hossein Taeb said global developments had moved faster than expected, arguing that the US had shifted from seeking technological and economic dominance to relying increasingly on military power. He said Washington and its European allies had used their scientific and technological advantages to maintain global influence.

Discussing the recent regional war, Taeb claimed the US provided extensive financial, logistical and military support to Israel but was ultimately forced into a ceasefire. He said the conflict had damaged the image of the US military and argued that Iran’s resistance had challenged Washington and Israel despite their superior resources.

Taeb attributed Iran’s resilience to the integration of universities, scientific institutions and the defence industry, citing advances in missiles, drones and naval capabilities. He called on universities and the Basij Professors Organization to focus on scientific development, improved governance and strengthening Iran’s national capabilities in the post-war period.
