ALWAGHT- The IRGC says it has launched a new series of retaliatory attacks against key US military, logistics, and command facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan in response to renewed American strikes on Iran.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced the fourth, fifth, and sixth waves of its Operation Nasr 2 on Wednesday, saying the strikes were carried out in response to renewed US attacks on Iranian territory. The group said the operations would continue and maintained that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until US military actions cease.
According to the IRGC, the fourth wave targeted what it described as the US military's main logistics and support center in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, claiming the facility was set ablaze and destroyed. The statement also accused Washington of attacking Iranian coastal sites overnight.
The fifth wave reportedly targeted US Fifth Fleet facilities in Bahrain, including command centers, warehouses, and fuel depots. The IRGC accused the United States of disrupting regional oil and gas exports and warned that additional export routes serving US interests could also be affected.
In the sixth wave, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force struck the US al-Azraq Airbase in Jordan, claiming to have hit aircraft shelters and destroyed several MQ-9 drones. The force said the attacks were part of Iran's response to repeated US violations and actions related to the Strait of Hormuz.
