ALWAGHT- Iranians are gathering at Tehran's Grand Mosalla for a second consecutive day to mourn and pay tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
TEHRAN — The second day of public mourning for Iran's martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, began early Sunday at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where large crowds of mourners from across the country gathered to take part in funeral ceremonies.
Funeral prayers were held as senior Iranian officials joined the ceremonies, while mourners continued arriving throughout the day. The observances culminated with funeral prayers over Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's body, marking the third day of nationwide mourning. Security forces, emergency responders, medical teams and support staff remained deployed, with entry routes, relief stations and welfare services operating to manage the large crowds and facilitate the proceedings.
