ALWAGHT- Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Libyan Presidential Council Vice-Chairman Mossa al-Koni in Muscat on Monday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing momentum in Iran-Libya relations and underscored the importance of strengthening ties across all areas of mutual interest.
Highlighting the history of positive relations between the two nations, Araghchi expressed hope that with Libya’s political and security stabilization, bilateral cooperation would expand across all fields.
The Vice-Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council welcomed Iran’s principled stance on respecting Libya’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, reaffirming the new Libyan leadership’s commitment to deepening ties with the Islamic Republic.
The officials also exchanged views on broader issues in the Islamic world, particularly the situation in occupied Palestine, stressing the need for greater cooperation among Islamic countries to halt the persecution of Palestinians and counter the Zionist regime’s aggression against the region.
