ALWAGHT- Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Iranian Army, announced that Iran has developed new defense and deterrence strategies based on insights gained from the 12-day war of aggression imposed in June.
Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Iranian Army, addressed members of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Monday to discuss the current political, security, and military landscape in the region. During the session, he reflected on the 12-day war imposed by the United States and the Zionist regime in June, describing it as a pivotal conflict that offered Iran “as many lessons as twelve years.”
Hatami explained that Iran had faced a fully hybrid war, combining military aggression with political, media, intelligence, and cyber tactics. He emphasized that the experience prompted Iran to adopt new defensive and deterrent strategies designed to respond more effectively to any future threat and to deliver severe retaliation against aggressors.
The commander further highlighted what he called the prevailing “logic of coercion and force” that dominates global power relations, pointing to examples in Gaza, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Qatar. Citing the guidance of Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Hatami asserted that the only way to resist such a system of hegemony is for Iran to continue strengthening its power and resilience.
