ALWAGHT- Israel has continued its military assault on southern Lebanon, carrying out airstrikes on the Musaylih and al-Najariya areas, resulting in one death.
Early Saturday morning, one person was killed and seven others were injured in the latest Israeli airstrikes targeting the area between Musaylih and al-Najariya in southern Lebanon. The attacks struck excavation equipment and bulldozers, causing major damage and blocking the road linking Saida and Nabatieh. Repair efforts are currently underway to reopen the critical route.
The Israeli occupation’s bombardment of construction equipment is seen as part of a broader attempt to obstruct reconstruction efforts in South Lebanon. Despite a declared ceasefire, Israeli forces have continued shelling and targeted attacks across various Lebanese regions, further destabilizing the area.
Just days earlier, an Israeli quadcopter carried out four strikes on the town of Houla, beginning with a stun grenade and followed by an attack on a local café. These ongoing assaults, persisting since the ceasefire agreement of November 27, 2024, underscore the fragility of the truce and the continued danger faced by civilians in southern Lebanon.
