ALWAGHT- “Iran will remain vigilant at all levels,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said in response to a message conveyed by President Putin to Tehran from the Israeli regime.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, dismissed criticism of Tehran’s absence from the Sharm el-Sheikh summit, asserting that Iran’s regional influence extends far beyond attendance at international gatherings. He emphasized that Iran has been one of the most active countries in opposing Israel’s actions in Gaza over the past two years, working through regional and international platforms such as the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Baghaei also addressed former US President Donald Trump’s remarks thanking Iran for its role in the Gaza ceasefire, stating that Tehran’s stance has already been clearly outlined and remains unchanged. He reaffirmed Iran’s support for any genuine effort to end the suffering of Palestinians and stop what he described as the ongoing genocide in Gaza, while warning that Israel’s history of violating agreements demands continued vigilance from the international community.
Commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks regarding a message from Israel to Tehran, Baghaei said Iran welcomes input from friendly nations but remains cautious about regional developments. Given what he called the Israeli regime’s record of deceit, he stressed that Iran “will maintain its alertness at all levels.”
