ALWAGHT- Israeli media report that at least six soldiers were injured after Palestinian fighters carried out an ambush against Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas fighters launched retaliatory raids on Israeli military positions across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to the Hebrew-language outlet Hadashot Be’Zaman. The attacks, described as a “serious security incident,” involved gunfire and rocket fire targeting an Israeli outpost, leaving six soldiers wounded, three of them critically. Israeli helicopters were seen evacuating the casualties, with the injured transferred to hospitals in Tel HaShomer and Soroka.
Meanwhile, Israeli strikes across Gaza have claimed at least eight Palestinian lives since dawn, including a child killed in Khan Younis, and left several others injured near aid distribution centers in the south. Hospitals across the territory continue to struggle under relentless bombardment, with emergency officials warning of mounting casualties amid worsening conditions.
The Gaza Health Ministry condemned the situation as a “health genocide,” saying the ongoing Israeli offensive has caused the total collapse of the enclave’s medical system. It described the devastation as a deliberate assault on the foundations of human survival. Since the war began on October 7, 2023, over 67,000 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been killed in Israel’s campaign, which has also triggered severe food shortages and widespread destruction.
