Araghchi: Bombs Cannot Destroy Iran’s Uranium Enrichment Technology

ALWAGHT- Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Iran’s expertise and resolve to develop its peaceful nuclear industry cannot be easily dismantled by military attacks.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized in a CBS News interview that the country’s peaceful uranium enrichment technology and scientific knowledge cannot be destroyed by bombings. Despite the Israeli regime’s unprovoked war starting on June 13, targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, and subsequent US military strikes, Iran remains capable and determined to quickly repair any damage and continue advancing its nuclear industry, which has become a source of national pride.

Araghchi highlighted Iran’s resilience during the 12-day conflict, noting that the nation successfully defended its nuclear installations and demonstrated its ability to protect itself. He stressed that Iran would promptly respond if faced with renewed aggression, underscoring the country’s commitment to self-defense and the continuation of its peaceful nuclear program despite external pressures.

Regarding the possibility of resuming talks with the United States, Araghchi expressed skepticism about a quick restart, stating that Iran needs assurances that the US will not resort to military attacks during negotiations. He pointed out that previous talks mediated by Oman were hindered by US and Israeli demands for Iran to cease enrichment entirely—an unacceptable condition for Iran. The recent US aggression has further cast doubt on Washington’s sincerity toward diplomacy, leading Iranian officials to call for caution and more time before reengaging in negotiations.
