Iran Deployed Less Than 5% Of Its Defensive Capabilities Against Israel

ALWAGHT- According to a top Iranian commander, Tehran utilized under five percent of its defensive strength in response to the Israeli regime’s recent unprovoked aggression.

Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, deputy commander for coordination of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), revealed in a televised interview that less than five percent of Iran’s defensive capacity was activated during its counterstrikes against Israel. He clarified that this activation does not mean full expenditure, but rather that only a small fraction of Iran’s defense units engaged with the enemy, leaving the majority of its military strength untouched and unrevealed.

The conflict began with Israel’s aggression on June 13, which prompted Iran to launch numerous ballistic missile strikes, including hypersonic missiles, targeting Israeli nuclear, military, and industrial sites. The retaliation caused significant damage to Israeli airbases and infrastructure, with footage circulating online showing the extent of the destruction. Western military experts noted that the United States supported Israel by deploying missile defense systems, such as two THAAD platforms, to intercept Iranian attacks, costing Washington over $800 million.

Naghdi emphasized that while Iran’s retaliation relied heavily on air defense capabilities, its main military strength lies in its ground forces. He asserted that Iran is well-equipped for prolonged conflict and could sustain missile attacks against Israel for several years at the current pace, highlighting the country’s readiness and resilience in the ongoing confrontation.
