ALWAGHT- Highlighting shared concerns, the Iranian president and the King of Bahrain called for strengthened Muslim unity and regional partnerships to resist the plots designed by adversaries of Islam.
In a cordial telephone conversation held on Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa exchanged warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, one of the most sacred and unifying festivals in the Islamic calendar.
The two leaders used the opportunity not only to extend best wishes for the blessed occasion but also to reflect on the broader spiritual and social dimensions of Eid and the Hajj pilgrimage. They emphasized that the values embodied in these sacred traditions—sacrifice, humility, and collective devotion—serve as powerful reminders of the need for unity among Muslims worldwide.
President Pezeshkian and King Al Khalifa stressed the importance of building upon the spirit of Hajj to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, mutual understanding, and constructive engagement among Islamic countries. They called for greater inter-Islamic dialogue and regional cooperation as essential tools for promoting peace, stability, and development across the Muslim world.
Both leaders also exchanged prayers and well-wishes for the health, prosperity, and security of the peoples of Iran and Bahrain, expressing hope for continued progress and well-being across the Islamic Ummah.
In a joint affirmation of shared concerns, the Iranian and Bahraini heads of state reiterated the necessity for unity among Muslim nations in the face of common challenges. They warned of the divisive agendas pursued by hostile actors seeking to destabilize the region and undermine the cohesion of the Islamic community. In this regard, they underscored the urgency of coordinated efforts and strategic collaboration to safeguard Islamic values and collective interests.
