The attack came hours after Yemeni forces launched a missile toward Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, briefly disrupting air traffic. While details on casualties and damage remain unclear, the escalation marks a continuation of cross-border hostilities between Israel and Yemen’s Ansarullah-aligned forces.
Yemen’s military claimed responsibility for the missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport, framing it as retaliation for Israel’s siege on Gaza and recent attacks near Beirut. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, a Yemeni military spokesperson, vowed to continue operations until Israel ends its offensive in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel activated air raid sirens across multiple cities, including the West Bank settlements, and claimed its missile defenses intercepted the Yemeni projectile.
