Alwaght- At least 10 people were killed and 16 injured after a bomb went off outside a mosque in Afghanistan's Heart.
The explosion took place near the northern gate of the Jam-e-Mosque in western Herat city during a funeral ceremony on Tuesday.
Aljazeera cited a police official as saying that 10 civilians were killed in the explosion.
Abdul Ahid Wali Zada, police spokesperson, told the news agency "The death toll could rise".

Ministry of Interior officials said explosives had been placed on a motorcycle, which were detonated at the entrance gate to the mosque dating from the 12th century.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Taliban denied any responsibility.
Images posted to social media showed plumes of black smoke rising above a mosque complex.

The attack came after a spate of violence in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, where on Wednesday more than 150 people were killed and hundreds wounded in a suicide truck-bomb attack.
Several protesters were killed in clashes with police on Friday at the bomb site, and at least a dozen people were killed when suicide bombers attacked the funeral for one of the dead protesters on Saturday.
