Alwaght- Faisal Jomaan governor of Amran province, northwest of the Yemeni capital of Sana'a, said that Amran has received more than 100, 000 displaced people from Saada in three past days.
Labeling the Saada province as a 'military target', Saudi regime has launched fierce airstrikes since Friday morning against Saada province killing hundreds of civilians. Saada province is the main stronghold of Ansarullah movement.
According to yementimes.com, many people have been reported dead, while most of those who escaped lost their homes. “Those who were able to escape are considered lucky, our province has been brought to the ground, we are very bitter,” Yemen based website cited one of Saada’s residents as saying.
Jomaan said that those who sought refuge in Amran are in dire need of basic service and humanitarian assistance. “100, 000 is a very huge number; they need shelter, water, nutrition, and medical treatment, especially in these difficult circumstances," the local website reported.
Saudi Arabia started its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to undermine Ansarullah movement and to restore power to fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who was the puppet president of Riyadh.
