Alwaght- On Saturday, Nepal powerful
earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 struck the Richter scale, near its capital,
Katmandu killing 2200 and more than injured over 5,000 people so far.
Meanwhile, New
York Times reported that 17 Everest mountain climbers died and 34 deaths
occurred in northern India. Earthquake also hit Tibet and Bangladesh destroying
many buildings.
After this
major earthquake rocked Nepal, thousands of
people in Kathmandu are bedding down outside for the night, fearing further
aftershocks, the Guardian reported. In current situation, people in Nepal are
panicked and running down the street.
A state of
emergency has been declared by Nepal deputy Prime Minister, Bamdev Gautam who
has appealed for humanitarian assistance across the region.
