Alwaght- Large groups of American protestors gathered in major US cities to protest the result of US presidential election on Wednesday.
Demonstrators broke out in major cities across the US, including marches in Oakland, Los Angeles, Portland and New York City to protest the result of recent presidential elections.
The republican candidate, Donald Trump was named victorious after initial results showed him wining more the 289 electoral votes.
Dozens of Clinton’s followers took to the streets of major US cities as well as famous universities including the University of California, Los Angeles, where there are reports of hundreds of students gathering.
In Oakland in northern California, protesters have started a small fire.
There are also reports of rallies and demonstrations in downtown Portland, in Davis, California and at Columbia University in New York.
Police units were dispatched to the protest sites as tweets from students say.
