Alwaght- Syrian national army responded to a violation of the ongoing ceasefire in the Homs city by a militant group on Sunday.
The militant group that had agreed to reconcile with the Syrian government and remain in the Al-Waer District of Homs, broke their deal on Sunday and launched an attack on the civilians in the city, al-Masdar news site reported.
The group killed two young men and injured a third one in an assault initiated to cause fear among the civilian population.
However Syrian national army responded instantly and heavily to their breach of the ceasefire deal.
The report says Syrian forces used shelling attacks and mortars to target the militants in the region.
Homs was once a center of fights between the Syrian army against terrorist and militant groups that tried to capture the city. In an effort to curb further violence, Damascus agreed to a ceasefire with armed forces in the region conditioned that they accept terms set by the government for a national reconciliation.
The violation of the terms was also faced with anger on the side of civilians who live in the al-Waer region of Homs.
