Alwaght- Gunmen attacked a police training center in Pakistan killing at least 59 cadets on Tuesday.
The unidentified gunmen attacked a training facility in the Baluchistan province where they also wounded 117 people.
Pakistani police called the attack a “terrorist” one in its statement saying at least six terrorists attacked the dorms at the police training college in the city of Quetta after they infiltrated the complex, where more than 200 cadets were housed.
Police said three attackers were killed in the operation, two of whom blew themselves up, and the surviving cadets were rescued by the Pakistani special operations commandos.
Pakistani Special Forces initiated an operation to defuse the terrorist attack as cadets were held hostage by terrorists who finally blew themselves up instead of giving in.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet but separatist militants in the region have carried out attacks on Pakistani armed forces and civilians since 2004.
This August at least 70 people were killed and 103 injured by a suicide attack at a hospital in Quetta.
