Thousands of Yemeni people took to the street of the capital Sanaa to protest the yet bloodiest Saudi attack on Sunday

Alwaght- Thousands of Yemeni people took to the street of the capital Sanaa to protest the yet bloodiest Saudi attack on Sunday.

The protesters gathered outside the United Nations office in Sanaa on Sunday to express their outrage at the Saudi aggression against their country.

Saudi warplanes attacked a funeral ceremony on Saturday killing at least 140 people and injuring more than 500 other Yemenis.

Sanaa Mayor Abdel Qader Hilal was reported to be among the victims of Saturday’s assault.

The protest rally was called by Yemen’s Supreme Political Council on Saturday.

In another development on Sunday, Hamza al-Houthi, a senior member of the Ansarullah resistance movement, accused the Saudi kingdom of trying to hide its crimes in Yemen to prevent the international bodies from decrying its misdeeds.

“Saudi Arabia’s denial of its crimes in Yemen at this time is a tactic used to cover them up and prevent investigative committees from exposing the dimensions of these crimes,” Houthi said.

Saudi Arabia started daily airstrikes against the Yemeni people since March 2015, in an attempt to reinstate its ally Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi who resigned as Yemeni president and fled took refuge in Riyadh. The United Nations puts the death toll from the military aggression at about 10,000.
