Alwaght- A powerful bomb explosion in the Afghan Northern Province of Jawzjan killed at least 6 people on Monday.
Another 80 people were also injured by the explosion in the Darzab district, the provincial officials said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but Taliban group has escalated its attacks in Afghanistan in recent weeks.
In their latest assault, Taliban militants attacked a police headquarters in the southern province of Helmand, killing the local police chief, Ahmad Shah Khan.
Afzel Khan, a policeman who survived the Helmand attack, said an explosive-laden car bomber struck the police compound in Naway District, making way for gunmen to enter in the compound.
Provincial spokesman Omar Zwak said another Taliban attack is underway in Helmand’s Nad Ali district.
