Hezbollah, Allies Victory in Municipal Elections; Important Massage from Lebanon

Hezbollah, Allies Victory in Municipal Elections; Important Massage from Lebanon

Alwaght- Initial, but unofficial, results show victory of Development and Loyalty List, the election list of Hezbollah and its allies, in the municipal elections in Lebanon in both Baalbek and Brital towns, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency report, quoting Lebanon’s official news agency.

The analysts suggest that the victory of Hezbollah and allies in the municipal elections, while the resistant group is brought under heavy pressures from Saudi Arabia, shows that the Lebanese group despite being engaged in a full-scale war with the takfiri groups in Syria and also defending Lebanon against the Israeli threats is especially concerned with serving the people at home.

According to Lebanon’s Al-Ahd news reports, the results of 2016 municipal elections indicate an emphatic win of Development and Loyalty List in the towns and cities of Lebanon’s Beqaa province.

“The unofficial counting of the votes of the municipal elections in Beqaa assert the victory of the Hezbollah and Amal Movement-backed Development and Loyalty List in Baalbek,” the same report added.

The initial results say that Hezbollah and Amal Movement election lists have swept all the 21 seats of the Baalbek’s municipal vote.

Hezbollah and Amal Movement lists have made gains in Beqaa cities like Hosh Snid, Hosh Nabi, Meqraq, Karha, Halbata, Labweh, Nabi Chit, Majdloun, Douriss, Chmestar, Taraya, Kafardebsh, Temnin el Tahta, Temnin el Fawka, Ali Alnahri and Hadath Baalbek. Furthermore, the group and its allied movement have turned out victorious in such towns as Ansar, Beit Chama, Hosh Tal Safiya, Iyat, Hareh Fikani, Janta, Yahofofa, Khrabieh, Seriine el Fawka, Hrebta, Chaat (14 out of 15 seats), Nabi Othman (also 14 out of 15 seats), Ain, Hosh el Rafika, Hazerta, Beit Machik and Ain Kafarzabd.

Additionally, the Loyalty to the Martyrs’ Blood List, also backed by Hezbollah, has succeeded in sweeping all the seats of the municipality of Brital. The Hezbollah-backed Martyrs’ Glory List won the votes of Al Khidr town in Beqaa. The Albazalyeh town in Baalbek has also witnessed victory of Hezbollah-backed election lists.

The Development and Loyalty List won the municipal elections also in Al Nasirya town, Zahla district and the Western Beqaa towns including Machqara, Sahmar, Yahmar, Labaya, Zalaya and Ain Altina.

Hezbollah and Amal Movement election lists in Hermel won 18 out of 21 seats. Moreover, the same list secured a victory in northeastern town of Al-Qasr by winning also 18 out of 21 seats.

The lists of Hezbollah and Amal Movement also made a clear win in Al-Shawaqir, Mazraat Sajd and Al-Sharbin in south of Lebanon.

Ahmed Riya, the press secretary of Beqaa province has said the Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem would soon hold a press conference to comment on the emerging election results in Beqaa.

Also in Saghbine town in Beqaa the election list of Free Patriotic Movement, the close Christian ally of Hezbollah, has won the electoral contest.

Hezbollah municipal elections win; a firm popular response to “Al Saud”

The triumph of election lists of Hezbollah and its allies is seen as representing a convenient response of Lebanese people to the anti-Resistance propaganda campaign launched by the Saudi regime and its allies- regimes which have recently blacklisted Hezbollah as a terror group to provide the Israeli regime with a very good service, according to the analysts. They actually blacklisted a resistant group which destroyed the legend of invincibility of the Israeli regime and brought forth glory for the Arabs and the Muslim world.

The Lebanese analysts have commented on the municipal elections. They suggested that with the municipal elections now there is no excuse left for delaying the parliamentary election and depriving the Lebanese people of their right to choose their representatives in the legislative body. The results of the Sunday elections are an outcry and a condemnation of the ruling class, because it was proven emphatically for people that the ruling class has withheld one of their political and democratic rights by expanding the life of the expired parliament.

Commenting on the considerable win of Hezbollah lists in Hermel and Baalbek, the Lebanese analysts assert that through taking part in the elections Hezbollah wanted to emphasize that its involvement in Syria’s battlefields and also closely watching Tel Aviv’s dangers for Lebanon in the southern borders would not divert it from strengthening the internal union and helping to form city councils to meet the social needs and demands.

The notable point about Sunday’s election- it was held in first phase- is the appearance of Hezbollah’s and Amal Movement’s potentials for a speedy mobilization of the public on the one hand and the heating up of the competition in such regions as Baalbek on the other hand.

The victory of Hezbollah and its allies in the municipal elections, while the group is subject to strains coming from Saudi regime, lays bare the fact that despite a full-scale battle with the terrorist groups in Syria, the resistant group could have an eye on the people’s interests and serve them well.

By making political and social gains across the country, Hezbollah once again, the experts say, dealt a blow to the Saudi and the Israeli regimes while they have gone to great lengths to isolate the group inside Lebanon in a bid to implement their plots against Lebanon specifically and the Resistance Axis generally.

The Sunday election was a confirmation of remarks of Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who said on May 7 that Hezbollah was in its best conditions both in military capabilities to guard Lebanon against the threats of the Israeli regime and in politics and readiness to provide people with service.
