Alwaght- Saudi new series of airstrikes left at least eight civilians dead and many others injured in Yemen’s southwestern province of Ta’izz.

A local official said on Saturday that the aggression warplanes launched two raids on al-Wazeiah district, targeting a car carrying citizens in al-Raqah area in central of the district, which led to the killing of eight people including women and injuring others according to Yemen News Agancy.

The number of victims could rise because there are people with serious injuries, the official said.

He pointed out that the victims were targeted while they were trying to flee to a neighboring area from the intense air raids on the different parts of the district.

Also Saudi warplanes launched two airstrikes against al-Ghil district in the northern Yemeni province of Jawf. A similar assault was also carried out in al-Aqaba area of the province.

There were no immediate reports of possible casualties and the extent of damage inflicted in the latter airstrikes.

The Saudi regime and its allies started the aggression against Yemen on March 26 2015 with the stated objective of destroying the popular Ansarullah movement and restoring to power fugitive former Yemeni president Abdu Rabuh Mansour Hadi.

The brutal Saudi war has left over 9,400 people dead, most of them civilians including thousands of women and children.

The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, markets, schools, factories and mosques.
