Alwaght- Iran's Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier warned the US, Saudi Arabia and their allies against deploying troops in Syria without the consent of Damascus.
"Any troop deployment to Syria without coordination with Damascus is doomed to failure," General Esmayeeli warned on Sunday.
In relevant remarks earlier this month, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council (EC) Mohsen Rezayee stated that Saudi Arabia would not make this mistake to send its armed forces to Syria.
Farzad Esmaili also stressed that if asked by the Syrian government, Iran will vigorously offer advisory help to the Syrian forces in the air defense field, making a reference to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s assertion that Tehran’s support for the allies comes in the form of advisory help.
Earlier in February Saudi Arabia said it is prepared to deploy ground troops to Syria to supposedly confront ISIS terrorist group.
However Damascus says it has evidence that the US along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and the Israeli regime have been busy supporting terrorist groups in the country since 2011.
