Challenges Ahead of Afghanistan National Unity Government

Thursday 25 September 2014
Challenges Ahead of Afghanistan National Unity Government

Alwaght-Independent Afghanistan electoral crisis was settled down, after a long period of dispute and anxiety. Independent Election Commission postponed the announcement of the result several times to defuse polarized atmosphere in Afghanistan's political scene. Although, Afghan parties' convergence finally paved the way for the formation of a national unity government, they should still deal with the numerous following challenges in the future:

1.America-Afghanistan Security Pact

2.Dealing with Afghanistan's Taliban

3. Pakistan's Interference in Afghanistan and Its Missile Attack In Afghanistan's Eastern Provinces

4. Economic Challenges, Particularly Dependence On Foreign Aids, Unemployment, And Social Poverty

Although cultural and social challenges are also among Afghanistan's new government, economic challenges have priority for them and they have to focus on solving Afghans' financial problems, before taking cultural measures.

Signing security pact is a guarantee for western countries' presence in the Afghanistan. They will seize this opportunity to reach their main objective, including controlling Iran and Russia.  They will support terrorist groups in the Central and West Asia more easily as an apparatus against Iran and Russia.

Double standards of America and NATO in fighting terrorism have been problematic not only for Afghanistan, but also for neighboring countries of Afghanistan. Three years after occupation of Afghanistan by America and its allies terrorism not only is not eradicated, but also is extended.  Today, the same terrorists are killing innocent people in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. ISIS indeed is esteemed from terrorist groups of Afghanistan. Some analysts believe that West tries to Pakistanize West and East Asia in a mid-term period. America's presence in every country has only resulted in instability and in insecurity in that country.
