ALWAGHT- Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf cautioned that states attempting to interfere with Iran’s oil trade or compromise its security could face consequences in return.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that attempts to disrupt Iran’s oil exports or undermine its security would carry reciprocal consequences. He also rejected US claims concerning control over the Strait of Hormuz, calling them baseless.
Ghalibaf said Iran’s reopening of the strategic waterway depends on meeting seven conditions. He added that Tehran has also set conditions for renewed talks with Washington, including an end to hostilities and the lifting of restrictions on Iranian assets, vessels and ports.
He warned that any US effort to blockade Iranian ports, restrict air corridors or disrupt commercial routes would prompt economic and military responses. Ghalibaf said Iran would not be intimidated by sanctions, threats or pressure and would respond to any aggression.
Addressing recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, Ghalibaf said Iran does not seek war but would defend its security, dignity and rights. He described Iran’s response to any aggression as “tough, painful, precise, and swift,” while calling for national unity and decisive action.
