ALWAGHT- A senior Yemeni official has warned that Saudi Arabia will not remain immune from the escalating tensions it has fueled in Yemen by backing its mercenaries.
Senior Yemeni official Abdulaziz bin Habtor warned Saudi Arabia that the conflict it has fueled in Yemen could eventually spread to Saudi territory. He stressed that Yemen would not accept its land becoming a battlefield and vowed to take appropriate measures to protect the country’s security and sovereignty.
The warning came amid reports that Yemeni armed forces had launched a drone attack targeting the Aramco refinery in Jizan, southern Saudi Arabia. The attack was reportedly carried out in response to alleged Saudi violations of Yemen’s airspace and sovereignty in Saada and Hajjah.
Saudi Civil Defense said sirens were activated in Jizan following the reported attack. The Jizan refinery, operated by Aramco, has a refining capacity of 400,000 barrels per day and is a major industrial complex that includes power and petrochemical facilities.
