ALWAGHT- During talks with his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said that insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct consequence of US and Israeli aggression against Iran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi discussed bilateral, regional and international issues with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in a phone call. He also briefed Wadephul on ongoing consultations with Oman to establish a safe maritime route through the Strait of Hormuz.
Araghchi said insecurity in the strait was caused by US and Israeli military aggression against Iran and called for the United States to be held accountable for the resulting security and economic consequences. He stressed that restoring security requires an end to US aggression and what Tehran describes as illegal interventions, while both sides agreed to continue diplomatic consultations.
