ALWAGHT- Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters’ spokesperson cautioned other nations against utilizing Iran’s blocked funds.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Abolfazl Zolfaqari, warned that vessels belonging to companies or countries using Iran’s frozen assets would be denied passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
The warning followed remarks by the US president about using seized Iranian funds to compensate for damage to vessels allegedly caused during regional tensions and military actions.
Zolfaqari condemned the move as illegal and threatened consequences, stating that Iran’s Armed Forces would block maritime access for any entities accepting payments drawn from Iran’s frozen assets.
