More Than 50 Iranians Martyred in Week of US Airstrikes

ALWAGHT- At least 50 people, including women and children, have been martyred in US strikes on civilian infrastructure across Iran over the past week, an Iranian health official said on Saturday.

Iran’s Health Ministry says more than 500 people have been injured and 50 martyred in airstrikes between June 27 and July 18, according to ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour. The martyred include five women and two children, while 32 women and 18 minors are among the injured.

Kermanpour said US airstrikes have targeted civilian infrastructure across several areas in five Iranian provinces in recent days. He added that at least 500 people have been wounded since June 27, when the region’s fragile ceasefire began to deteriorate.

The report also states that the US and Israel launched a military campaign against Iran on February 28, during which senior Iranian military and political figures, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, were reportedly targeted. It claims nearly 3,500 people have been martyred since the start of the conflict.
